Classification Classification of the family Mermithidae maintained by Russian scientists (Rubzov, Gafurov, Khartschenko) is confusing, full of inconsistencies and mistakes. The International Code of Zoological Nomenclature is not always followed – type species were reassigned when redefining several genera. Classification presented here should not be taken as reliable or based on phylogenetic information. [details]
