Description and taxonomic position of Expressonema grandulata gen. et sp. n. and structural analysis of the family Dorylaimopsidae (Nematoda, Comesomatidae)
Expressonema grandulata gen. et sp. n. is described. The features new for Comesomatidae are listed: complicate vestibulum, 9 stoma teeth, precloacal glands in males. The sexual dimorphism by the renette cell number and the spermatozoid dimorphism is detected. The family Dorylaimopsidae Coninck, 1965 (emend. Andrassy, 1976) is restored in the new genera composition and the following division into subfamilies is proposed: Metasabatieriinae subfam. n. (Metasabatieria), Dorylaimopsinae Coninck, 1965 (Dorylaimopsis, Paramesonchium, Vasostoma, Hopperia), Expressonematinae subfam. n. (Expressonema gen. n., Paracomesoma). The stoma organization served as a basis for isolating Dorylaimopsidae from Comesomatidae as proposed by Jensen (1979). The subfamilies were isolated by the vestibulum structure, presence or aabsebce of armament, number of teeth in stoma, and the copulatory apparatus structure. It is postulated that phylogenetically the most ancient is Metasabatieriinae subfamily, while the most advanced, Expressonematinae, and the intermediate position occupies Dorylaimopsinae.
